Tuesday 16th November, 2021 - QUT Gardens Point Theatre

This short-format one-day event will feature leaders from the sporting sector and aims to foster healthy discussion and engagement which results in more inspired, empowered, and dynamic leaders across the National sporting industry.

The event will be centered on two key themes that include leadership and career development and will provide a platform to discuss how industry leading research can be applied within sports administration, coaching and facilitation areas within the sporting arena.

Conference speakers:

  • Hon Kate Jones, Executive Director Australian Tech Council and Australian Rugby League Commissioner
  • Cathy Mcguane, Chair - Stadiums Queensland
  • Professor Gene Moyle, Sport and Exercise Psychologist and QUT Academic Director - New Projects
  • Dr. Emily Cust, Sports Analyst - Tennis Australia, AFLW Performance Analyst and Graduate Reseracher from Victoria University
  • Bronwen Knox, 4 x Olympic Waterpolo Player and QUT Alumna
  • Rachael Watson, 2 x Paralympic Gold Medallist at Rio 2016 & Tokyo 2020 & QUT Alumna
  • Kylee Byrne, Head Coach, Sunshine Coast Lightning
  • Liz Hepple, Queensland Academy of Sport, Athlete Wellbeing & Engagement Advisor
  • Dr. Sue Robson, CEO of Fusion Sport and Sports Scientist

This event is open to all women and is free for QUT staff and students.

The registration fee to non-QUT student and staff is $60.00.

All participants will receive access to conference materials, lunch and refreshments and an action-packed day learning from National women's sporting leaders!
