QAS Multi Sport Talent ID Day

Event information

Registrations for this event are closed.

The Queensland Academy of Sport is partnering with state governing bodies for Rowing, Athletics and Volleyball, as well as Paddle Australia and Sliding Sports Australia (Skeleton, Luge and Bobsled) to host a combined talent identification program. The event will be held at Queensland Sports and Athletics Centre, Nathan, with the aim of finding athletes with a skill and interest in respective sports to be directed towards local Clubs.

A unique opportunity for young Queensland athletes in the Olympic sports of Rowing, Athletics, Paddle, Volleyball and Sliding Sports (Skeleton, Luge and Bobseld). This program is open to individuals from 14 to 23 years of age.

With an ultimate goal to increase the number of Queensland Athletes on future National Teams, the Talent Identification Program is open to anyone (14-23) who are looking for opportunities to be involved in an introduction to sport program which may lead to future invitations to high performance squads, within those sports. This is, however, not a QAS pathway opportunity.

A focus for the organising team will be on schools without strong sporting programs and clear pathways to the aforementioned programs; however students from any school may attend.
