Event information

Events: 100m (min age 6), 400m (min age 10), 1500m (min age 10), Mile Steeplechase (min age 14), Long Jump (min age 10), Javelin Men using 800g (min age 17), Hammer Women using 4.00kg (min age 17). 

Mile Steeplechase - There will be no water jump. Five barriers will be on the track with the first barrier being the one at the entry to the backstraight. The water jump will be replaced by a normal barrier in lane 1. There will be three heights

  • 0.762m - U16 Men and all Women (min age 14)
  • 0.838m - U18 Men
  • 0.914m - U20 and Open Men

Number of attempts for Throws/Jumps: A Grade will be a max of 12 athletes (subject to the Technical Delegate approval) - top 8 get an additional 3 attempts. All other grades (if sufficent numbers) will be given at least three but no more than four. 

Implements: Only open specifications will be used - Hammer Women 4kg, Javelin Men 800g.  

Personal Implements: Personal implements must be presented to the technical area, Shed on ground level past the finish line at the end of the grandstand at least 90 minutes prior to the start time of your event. Athletes are allowed a maximum of 1 personal implements per event, and these will be added to the implement pool for the event and will be available for any athlete in that event to use.  Any personal implements taken directly to the event site MUST remain in the athletes bag and will not be allowed into the implement pool for that event.

Check In: You do not need to check in. If you are scratching/withdrawing from any of your events on the day we would appreciate you advising the administration official in the control room as soon as possible. 

Marshalling times: All athletes should marshall for Track events at the start line at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of their event, Field events should marshall at least 20 minutes prior to the start time of their event.
