The Emerging Talent program is the entry-level program into the Volleyball Australia high-performance pathway. Most athletes entering the high-performance pathway will spend a cycle or two in the Emerging Talent program before progressing (if invited to do so). The goal of the Emerging Talent program is to develop athletes toward future Australian representation and international-level success at Commonwealth and Olympic Games and World Championships levels, guided by the team of Volleyball Australia national program coaches and assistants.

Your payment of $30 provides access to up to three training sessions to act as your trial. Upon completion of these sessions, if deemed successful, you will receive an official invitation to join the program. Please note that we are more inclusive, rather than exclusive in our trials process, and trialing is more about the athletes seeing what we do and whether our program will be a good fit for them. We do have more limited capacity for the next cycle however, so be sure to get your trial registration in as soon as possible to guarantee a trial position.

*Note that you are registering to trial to join the program for the period of Term 2, 2025 through to end of Term 1, 2026 (12 Months) and the program fee will be $660 (inc GST) if you are successful in gaining a place in the program following your trial. This fee includes a training uniform.

Times: Male Group One 8:00am - 9:30am / Female Group 9:30am - 11:00am / Mixed Group Two 11:00am – 12:30pm

Trial/Registration Fee: $30.00 (inc GST)

Your trial fee entitles you to attend up to three training sessions in the program which will act as your trial.

If selected to continue training after your trial period is complete, the prescribed training fee of $660 (inc GST) will be invoiced. See above for training cycle details. This fee covers your weekly training for the cycle and includes an Emerging Talent training uniform.
