By becoming a member of Quadball Australia, I agree to all of the below codes and policies.

WAIVER RELEASE & INDEMNIFICATION

In consideration of the acceptance of my membership or participation in events with Quidditch Australia, or its affiliated State or Club Bodies.

  • I waive all claims that I may have against the Quidditch Australia Inc., its officers, directors, members, volunteers, employees, affliliated State and Club bodies, agents and sponsors, or its executors, administrators, heirs, successors or assigns ("the organisers"), and release them from all claims for death, injury or damage arising out of my participation in their club, their event and its related activities, together with any costs, including legal fees.
  • I agree to indemnify and keep indemnified the organisers against damage arising out of my participation in the events and its related activities.
  • I agree to comply with all the rules, regulations and instructions of the organisers.
  • In the event of injury or illness during participation, I consent to receive medical treatment, which may be deemed advisable by the organisers.
  • I acknowledge that I have sole responsibility for my personal possessions and equipment during the all events and activities.
  • I hereby permit the free use of my name and picture in any broadcasts, telecasts and the press including website as they pertain to the Quidditch Australia their events and activities.
  • I understand that my membership or registration fee is non-transferable.
  • I agree to have my personal details recorded and used by the Quidditch Australia and related parties for further communications of future related events.

RELEASE, WAIVER & INDEMNITY NOTE: THIS RELEASE FORM IS A CONTRACT WITH LEGAL CONSEQUENCES. PLEASE READ IT CAREFULLY BEFORE AGREEING TO CONFIRM YOUR MEMBERSHIP

I want to participate any current, or future season of Quidditch Australia Inc. (Quadball Australia), and/or its affliated State/Club bodies. I understand and acknowledge that the sport of quadball, may involve physical risk. I understand that the game of quadball are played on fields, courts and other surfaces whose condition are variable and unpredictable and in weather, and man-made obstacles which can change without notice, both of which could contribute to the safety of play and result in serious personal injury.

In consideration of Quadball Australia, and its affiliated State/Club bodies, accepting me as a participant during any season, I for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, successors and assigns, hereby release, waive and forever discharge Quidditch Australia Inc., its sponsors and all their respective agents, officials, servants, contractors, representatives, directors, elected and appointed officials, affiliated State and Club bodies, successors and assigns of and from all claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses, actions and causes of action, whether in law or in equity, in respect of death, injury, loss or damage to my person or property howsoever caused, arising to or to arise by reason of my participation in any season of Quidditch Australia Inc., or affiliated State/Club bodies, whether as a spectator, participant, competitor or otherwise, whether prior to, during, or subsequent to this year’s season and notwithstanding that same may have been contributed to or occasioned by the negligence of any of the aforesaid. I further hereby undertake to hold and save harmless and agree to indemnify all of the aforesaid from and against any and all liability incurred by any or all of them arising as a result of, or in any way connected, with my participation in any season of Quidditch Australia Inc., and/or affiliated State/Club bodies.


Queensland Association of Quadball

Queensland Association of Quidditch requires each player to adhere to our Code of Conduct.

To be a positive contributor as a player within QAQ you must meet the following requirements with regards to your conduct during any activity held by or under Quidditch Australia, QAQ, or affiliates:

·    Respect the rights, dignity and worth of fellow players, coaches, officials and spectators.
·    Do not act in a manner which could be regarded as sexual harassment, discrimination, bullying or victimisation.
·    Respect the talent, potential, and development of fellow players and competitors.
·    Participate fairly and safely.
·    Be frank and honest with your coach/medical staff concerning illness and injury and your ability to train and play fully.
·    Do not engage in practices (alcohol consumption, drug-taking) that affect sporting performance.
·    Never argue with the referee's decision. Let your speaking captain ask any necessary questions or rule clarifications. Discuss it with them civilly after the match if they say it is okay. Respect their right to not say anything to you.
·    Work equally hard for yourself and your team. Applaud all good play, by your own team and opponents. Shake hands with all of the opposing team at the conclusion of the match.
·    Respect and acknowledge the contribution of those without whom you would not have a game (e.g. scorers, coaches, timekeepers, administrators and referees).
