Over the summer months Powerhouse Juniors section has a few options to keep playing hockey. This survey is created to assist with giving us clear insights into which program is of interest to everyone. thanks for completing.

 

Summer 6

For those of you who have not experienced it over the last 11 years, it is "Indoor, but played outdoors".
A fun night with a BBQ to allow the whole family to be at the same venue (Hawthorn).

Fundamentally FIH Indoor Rules, played on quarter pitches, with boards on the sides.
Summer6 is a fun social way to easy into the weekend. It's based on the indoor format style and also provides a great way to introduce friends into the sport. Play time will be 2 x 20min with 5min break. Starting time 5.30pm for u10.

Age Groups are;

U10 - 1-Jan-13 onwards           -- 5.30pm - 6.15pm
U12 - 1-Jan-11 - 31-Dec 2012  -- 6.20pm - 7.05pm
U14 - 1-Jan-09 - 31-Dec 2008  -- 7.10pm - 7.55pm
U16 - 1-Jan-07 - 31-Dec 2008  -- 8.00pm - 8.45pm

Indoor Term 4

Starting Saturday 7th of October

2023 INDOOR COMPETITION LOCAL RULES Matches will be played in accordance with the FIH Rules of Indoor Hockey 2022 and with Hockey Victoria Rules & Regulations except as stated otherwise by these rules.

Registration Cost - $130 per person - based on 8 players per team

MATCH DURATION • All Indoor Competition Matches will consist of 2 x 20-minute halves; with 3 minutes for half-time and 7 minutes in between matches. • Time will start at the fixture start time. • All games must be completed 5 minutes prior to the next scheduled match to prevent delays. • The umpires may stop the match as they see fit, but there will be no stoppages of the clock at any stage.

EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS

For all competitions, players must; • Wear non-marking shoes • Have cloth/strapping tape (not electrical tape) under stick to assist in protecting the surface • Shin pads • Mouth guard • FULL protective left-hand glove • A strong preference for Indoor Hockey sticks with tape (mandatory for Open A Grade, Shield Competitions, and competitions held at Parkville B)
