The aim of this PSC sailing program is to introduce sailing to newcomers that are interested in sailing as a sport, or recreational sport, and would like to learn more.

The course is also open to those that have had some sailing experience, either on dinghies or keelboats, but would like to gain more knowledge about terminology, sailing rules and practical on the water boat handling and sailing as a skipper.

 

The two day course includes some classroom work based on the course material provided in advance, and practical on the water coaching, course sailing and possibly team sailing - the course material will be provided once you have registered.

 

By the end of the weekend you should have a good understanding of the basics of sailing and be able to rig the boat, launch safely, sail across all points of the wind, tack and gybe, capsize and retrieve the boat and sail back to shore and land the boat safely before cleaning and derigging.
