Introduction to Officiating
We have developed this training based on the International Edition 2023 Rulebook. You will be taught the basics of Refereeing in a fun informative way. Topics covered are:
- Code of Conduct,
- Primary Responsibilities,
- Score Keeping,
- Breaks in Play Procedures,
- Common Situations
Sign up for a face to face lesson presented by David Jay, (National Head of Officiating), you will gain Level 1 PAA accreditation.
We need referees from all clubs to officiate at tournaments. If you enjoy the tournament atmosphere this is an opportunity for you to get involved in competitive events and provide an invaluable service. To be a referee, it is not essential that you play Pickleball, but a thorough understanding of the rules is necessary.

Introductory fee to attend course is $30.00
Please note that the presenters are volunteers, the funds are used soley to subsidize course materials and referee equipment.
The course will be run prior to the Barrington Coast Doubles on 18 May 1:30pm - 5:00pm
