Introduction to Officiating

We have developed this training based on the  International Edition 2022 Rulebook.  You will be taught the basics of Refereeing in a fun informative way.  Topics covered are:

  1. Code of Conduct,
  2. Primary Responsibilities,
  3. Score Keeping,
  4. Breaks in Play Procedures,
  5. Common Situations

Sign up for a face to face lesson presented by David Jay, (National Head of Officiating) to be held at Tennyson Point, Sydney. More dates in other States soon. You will gain national accreditation.

We need referees at all clubs and for state and national contests.  Being a referee provides individuals with an opportunity to get involved with competitive events, enjoy the tournament atmosphere, and provide an invaluable service. If you are interested in attending, please click on the the register button or contact us at officiating@pickleballaus.org

To be a referee, it is not essential that you play Pickleball, but a thorough understanding of the rules is necessary.
