About us

Pickleball Australia  (PA) is here to nurture the development and growth of pickleball Australia-wide. Our goal is to guide and support the development of pickleball across all states and territories and ultimately achieve official recognition as a National Sporting Organisation.

Launched in 2020, Pickleball Australia has nurtured and guided the development of pickleball nationwide. The establishment of 7 state and territory associations, supportive sub-committees, and a range of affiliates has advanced the Australian pickleball footprint with continuous strong growth in membership, playing opportunities, and program development.

As a not-for-profit organisation, Pickleball Australia is committed to furthering playing opportunities both within Australia and internationally, while progressing the accreditation and training of administrators, coaches, and referees to foster the advancement of state members, affiliates, and individuals of all ages and ability levels.

The nurture of a national network of affiliated state associations, clubs and individual members supporting the growth across Australia of social and competitive play; with development of respected structure of accreditation for coaches, trainers and players; while providing ongoing support service packages for expansion.

Based around the SPIRIT of pickleball, the PA values focus on: 

Sportsmanship - competition is encouraged and celebrated with respect for players, adherence to rules and the fun and laughted endemic in gameplay, central to successful performance.
