State Junior League is the Water Polo WA run domestic competition in which metropolitan clubs compete. There are two divisions and three age groups within each division.The 2024 / 2025 season age groups are as follows:

A Grade

• 14 & Under (born 2012, 2011 & 2010)
• 16 & Under (born 2009 & 2008)
• 18 & Under (born 2007 & 2006)

B Grade

• 7 / 8 (School years 7 and 8)
• 9 / 10 (School years 9 and 10)
• 11 / 12 (School years 11 and 12)

Training session details will be released when pool bookings have been confirmed, they will be from Monday to Thursday afternoons and Saturday morning. Initially training will be held at Beatty Park and will transition to Terry Tyzack when it fully opens. Games are played at HBF Stadium, Mt Claremont on Sunday afternoons for B Grade and Monday evenings for A Grade.

Registration for a Phantoms WPC Junior team is under the WA Water Polo SunSmart State Junior League competition and includes the following within the fees:

• WA Water Polo (Association) Player Registration and InsurancePhantoms Water Polo Club Registration
• Season 2024 / 2025 Training Program
• Position in a 2024 / 2025 Phantom’s State Junior League team playing on Sunday afternoon or Monday night, depending on the age group and division.

State Junior League commences on Sunday October 13th, 2024 and runs until late 30th March 2025 with a break for school holidays.  Training starts Saturday 24 of August 2024 at Beatty Park.

Registration will be availabe in mid September and fees will be confirmed when WPA and WPWAI capitaion fees are confirmed, last season's fees were $295.

Bring a Friend

We are asking all of our Juniors to bring a friend to any of their training sessions during the season (the sooner the better). Anyone who introduces a friend to Phantoms and their friend registers with Phantoms will be eligible for club discounts.

All Rookies Welcome

Take the plunge and learn the sport of water polo from scratch by joining our Rookies Program or just head down to a training session.  You won’t be alone, everyone is bringing a friend who has never played before.

Absolutely no experience required.  All that is needed is the desire to have fun in the water and the basic ability to swim (which of course can be worked on).

If you don’t have a friend at Phantoms, come anyway, you’ll have plenty of Phantoms friends by the time you leave training!
