Dear Rowers, Family and Friends,

Port Adelaide is excited to announce that we will offer a come and try rowing program for adult rowers, commencing 1 September 2024. Training will include on-water sessions as well as off-water gym and erg sessions. These sessions will be run by our experienced coaches including former Olympic and Commonwealth athletes. Training will be held in our large well-equipped gym and on the wonderful Port River estuary.

Dates: Sunday 1 September to Sunday 13 October.  Sunday 1 September is an information session and a chance to jump in a boat. The remainder of the program will be a training session.

·        Costs: $130 for six lessons. To register for the lessons - please register on our website here: https://www.revolutionise.com.au/parcsms/registration, and select the learn to row membership option.

The aim of the program is to introduce you rowing, the movements and skills required, safety, boat handling and then getting you to row as part of a crew in crew sculling boats.

Schedule and Timings:

  • Sundays – 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM: On water in the Quads.  Safety Boats will be present and all training will be limited to the Inner Harbour.
  • Thursday Nights 17:30 to 18:45: Optional Gym/Erg program.

Coaching will be provided by a team of coaches, including Vicky Knight, Stuart Tibbets, Lottie Prowe, Cameron Moffatt, Alison Smith, and Brenton Terrell.

Safety:  There will be a safety briefing for all rowers new to Port Adelaide which be held on the first morning of training. Club safety Policies and procedures are published here:
