Dear Rowers, Friends and Family,
The Season Opening Day and annual Biglands and Doyle Cup event will be held on 17 September. The Biglands and Doyle is an event which mixes up crews of all ages for a sudden death elimination race, starting in 8s, progressing through Fours, Doubles, and culminating in a singles race. The events and outcomes are unpredictable to say the least. We will finish up with a trophy presentation and a lunch.
Please register for the event here. There is a $10 seat fee which goes to the club, so bring some cash on the day for racing participants. We will be having a barbecue lunch as well for club members, friends and family for 10 dollars. Bar will be open as well.
The purpose of this event is to celebrate our clubs history, give some rowers a taste of racing and to welcome the opening of the racing season.
We are also arranging some potential VIP guests - stay tuned, and we will see who we can turn up.
Regards
Jeremy Watkinson
