Port Adelaide Rowing Club is excited to offer the opportunity for four female and four male athletes to participate in a singles exhibition race as part of the Dockside Festival.  This is an invitational event, to showcase the sport of rowing to a big audience during the festival in the inner harbour.

Winners of the event will receive a medal, and $100 to be donated to a charity of their choice.  There will also be an opportunity for winning competitor to come up on to the stage for a medal presentation.  The race will be held on Saturday 10 December 2022 at approximately 315 PM in the inner harbour.

• There will be two races, one male and one female category, which will be a short sprint along docks, finishing just before the Birkenhead Bridge.
• Please note that this is an invitation event and only four athletes will be selected in each category
• Athletes will be selected based on past performance to help select a field will which provide a good demonstration of the sport, and a competitive display for the public.

You will need to be available for a pre-race briefing at 2:15 PM at the Port Adelaide Boat Shed, and then row down to the Derrick Diver Bridge in preparation for the start.
