Dear Rowers, Family and Friends,

It’s that time of year again, so we are having a bit of a Christmas celebration!  The date will be Sunday 12 December 2021.

Before we have lunch, we are going to have a Club Row!  We are going to get as many people out on the water as possible and go for a row down to the quarantine station and back, or down to the inner harbour depending on the weather.  The dress for this is Christmas themed, so dress up accordingly!  We will bring a few tinnies along so we can some photographs.

We will get out the fours and eights and draw straws for crews. Get down the club for normal training times, and we will aim to get the Port Flotilla out on the water at 0900. After our row we will bring the boats in clean up a bit, and then have a barbecue.

We are going to share the load, so we will be doing a bit of a potluck for salads and desserts.  This is how it going to work.

• Surnames A – M: If your surname lands in the first half of the alphabet can you please bring a salad. 
• Surnames N – Z: If your surname is in the second half of the alphabet, please bring something sweet/dessert.

One platter/bowl/contribution per family/social group is fine.

For the modest sum of 10 dollars, the club will supply some nice meat, vegetarian protein options and bread, and the bar will be open for drinks as well.

Please come on down and enjoy a bit of Christmas cheer with your team-mates, old friends and family.  It’s a family event, so family members are welcome as well.
