At an informal discussion after the 1959 AGM of PAOC Football Club, it was decided to try and find enough Old Scholars interested in squash to form a Squash Club. A meeting was called for 16 March 1960 and the Squash Club was formed. The Club commenced playing at Prince Alfred College in 1981. The Club has produced exceptional players on a State, National and International level with none greater than Dan Jenson (1992), former World No 5 and Commonwealth Games’ medallist.
The Club has been quite successful in recent years, highlighted by:
- Numerous Intercollegiate wins against SPOC
- Numerous Adeliade Squash Pennant title wins, including at State 3, Division 2, and Division 3 levels
The Club currently fields multiple teams in the Autumn and Spring Pennant Competitions ranging from Premier League to Division 2 and always welcomes new players.
