The SELECTIONS FLEET -This fleet is for the purpose of selecting the OPTIMIST SAILING SA teams to compete in the African Continental Championship, and any other international event where selection is necessary. Optimist Sailing SA Sailors who attended at least 1 Regional championships and the Optimist National Championships in the 2021 sailing season are eligible to compete in the selection event. Ineligible sailors who wish to participate in the event will be accepted at the discretion of the organisers. To avoid doubt ineligible sailors who sail the selection regatta will only be considered for selection to the South African Optimist Sailing Team if there are insufficient sailors to fill the team.
Sailors qualified as per above, should enter and make full payment of the entry. Late entries will be accepted up to 11 am on the 1st race of scheduled racing.
