Juniors Boys
For our Junior athletes, the main focus at training will simply be technique and skill development. The kids will get a chance to really identify weaknesses and strengths in their game by understanding basic movements, body positioning and ball skills.
We will start with a solid land warm up including dynamic stretches for injury prevention and some fun warm up games to raise the heart rate and get them ready for the water!
In the water we will focus on:
- Body positioning in both lateral and vertical positions, when these positions are used and why they are important - finish off with fun leg work competition
- Ball skills to increase hand eye coordination and fine motor skill development. (Every athlete will require own ball) - finish off with fun ball skill competition
- Passing/shooting technique - understanding the power, accuracy and recovery stages of passing and shooting.
- Shooting with a main focus on body positioning and technique discussed.
- Finish off with some group games
