Welcome to the Ocean Beach Silver Salties Walk & Talk program! This program is part of Surf Life Saving Australia's Silver Salties initiative and supported by State Centres. Silver Salties is a physical activity and social connections initiative for older Australians, but all ages are welcome!

The Ocean Beach Silver Salties Walk & Talk program is all about enjoyment, fitness and social interaction with like-minded people in a safe and welcoming environment. Led by Program Leaders, Louise Lambeth, Peter Lambeth and MarieClare Pigott, all fitness levels and abilities are welcome and you're encouraged to stay for a cuppa at the conclusion of the session.  We'll support the local cafe at the clubhouse.

There is no fee to be involved in the Walk & Talk program (apart from a cuppa at the end), and participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes, bring a water bottle and be sun-safe. All COVID-19 precautions are also in place i.e. stay at home if unwell, social distancing, good hand hygiene, coughing/sneezing etiquette etc.

The Ocean Beach Silver Salties Walk & Talk program will commence on Monday 5 September and run every Monday and Thursday until Thursday 24 November.  Sessions will start at 8am and go till 9am.  Each session will include walking and discussions about the local environment and community.  Participants are welcome to attend as often as they can!
