Code of Conduct

Onslow Occys Swimming Club

1. Respect yourself: I will swim for personal goals and achievement and for fun, I am responsible for my own personal health and fitness.
2. Respect the rules: I will accept judgements made by coaches or officials. If I disagree with an official, I will inform my coach who will then follow the appropriate protocol.
3. Respect my teammates: I will be committed to training and club race meets. I will work equally hard for the club and myself. I will encourage my teammates and applaud all good efforts.
4. Respect competitors from other clubs: I will treat all swimmers as I would like to be treated myself. I will show good sportsmanship and congratulate other competitors on their achievements.
5. Respect supporters: I will show appreciation to parents, volunteers, officials and administrators. They are there to support and encourage me.
6. Role modelling: I will remember that my club mates, especially those more junior, learn by my example and actions. I will be set a good example for others to follow.
Declaration
1. I agree to abide by the rules, regulations and policies of Swimming WA, Swimming Australia, the relevant Regional Swimming Association and the relevant club, including Swimming Australia’s Anti-Doping, Member Protection, Behaviour Guidelines and Privacy Policies (these are available at www.swimming.org.au ).
2. I authorise Swimming WA to use and disclose, to related and relevant bodies any of my personal information that may be necessary to implement the rules, regulations and policies in 1 above. I agree to have my name, results and any photograph taken during events conducted by Swimming WA, unless I or any guardian indicate otherwise, published in official programs, newsletters and websites and other media.
The Onslow Swimming Club expects all members, parents, spectators and volunteers to behave in a responsible manner at club events and training.
