Child Safety

The NYP Dragons place the highest priority on child safety, ensuring a secure and supportive environment for every child involved in our programs. We are fully committed to upholding the strictest standards of safeguarding, with all coaches and comittee members undergoing child safety training. Our policies are regularly reviewed and updated to meet industry best practices. At NYP Dragons, every child’s wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do.

NYP Dragons is inclusive and welcoming to all

At our club, we pride ourselves on creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all young people. We actively celebrate diversity and encourage participation from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, people from multicultural backgrounds, people with disability, and those who identify as LGBTIQ+. Everyone is treated with respect, kindness, and understanding, and we strive to make sure every person feels seen, supported, and valued. Whether it’s through inclusive programs, accessible facilities, or culturally respectful practices, our goal is to ensure that every person feels like they truly belong.

As a club we stand firmly with Water Polo Australia's Inclusion, Diversity and Equity framework as we believe everyone deserves to play water polo in a safe and welcoming environment.
