President - John Malvestuto 
Have you met John, one of the many driving forces behind NYP Dragons? As a dad of three, a business owner, and an active member of various community groups, John still finds time to lead our club with passion and dedication.
John is committed to building stronger connections across the club, especially with our juniors. He gives up his Sundays to train and support our juniors at their matches, creating a welcoming and encouraging environment for them to grow.
He also spearheaded the introduction of FlippaBall, which will be returning in Terms 2 and 3 at Aqualink Nunawading.
Vice-president - Darren Whelan
Darren’s journey with our club began several years ago 
when one of his daughters joined the NYP Dragons family. His dedication and passion for water polo quickly shone through as he became an active and valuable member of the committee. After serving as a general committee member, Darren took on the challenge of stepping into the Vice President role in 2024. His leadership has been a driving force behind the club’s continued success.
In addition to his Vice President duties, Darren has been focusing on securing grants and sponsorships to strengthen the club’s financial foundation. His efforts have been providing more opportunities for our players and helping the club thrive.

Treasurer - Pip Barclay
In 2024, Pip took on the role of treasurer for NYP Dragons, and we couldn’t be more grateful for her hard work and dedication. She has done an amazing job sorting out the club’s financial status, ensuring we’re on track for future success.
Pip is no stranger to NYP Dragons. A long-standing member of our club, she began as a junior and is now a key player in our Women’s SL1 team. Her talent and passion for water polo have also seen her represent Victoria on multiple occasions – an incredible achievement!
Beyond the pool, Pip has been a driving force in building a cohesive and vibrant club culture. She has played a key role in co-organising senior social events and fostering connections across teams, helping to make our club stronger and more united than ever.
SECRETARY – Nicole Cumming
Nicole's journey at the NYP Dragons started years ago when her daughter started playing.
Nicole has made outstanding contributions to the club community by organising the BBQ fundraisers, writing the newsletters, working with the merchandise companies and keeping us all up to date on the NYP social media pages.
She has contributed to the wider state water polo community by being Team Manager of the Victorian Team. Nicole always puts in hours at every single BBQ over the past few years and she is a vital reason our club continues to run so smoothly.
