Under 13 NWL Elite Academy
In addition to the North West Lightning Development Academy that is currently running, we are offering an academy for players wishing to trial for the 2023 Under 13 State teams. The aim of the Academy is to prepare players for the rigors of State trials and to improve chances of selection in the State Academy and ultimately the State team.
The four-session program will cover fitness, skills and drills used and designed by a current State coach. Some sessions will also include information from nutritionists, physiotherapists, fitness coaches and specialized goalie coaches.
The sessions will be held on a Saturday afternoon/evening and Sunday mornings. Every effort will be made to organise accommodation on the Saturday night for Academy members who don’t reside in Bendigo.

The Academy is capped at 20 participants. If it is oversubscribed, selection will be based on the Lightning JSC coach feedback. This Academy has been subsidised by North West Lightning, with fees charged to cover pitch hire, coach fee, specialist sessions and travel.
