RIG OPTIONS
There are 3 different rigs that can be used on the same hull. By changing only the sail and lower mast an ILCA can be sailed comfortably in a great variety of wind conditions and provide exciting but controlled sailing. Many boats that are purchased second hand may come with multiple rigs. Deciding where to start can be based purely on sailor weight, but the jump up from Junior classes can be a challenge both in terms of physical effort and skills required. Many people use two rigs and gradually transition over a number of months.
