Development Programs 2021
2021 the NSHC is continuing to develop a succession plan for the future of our club. The NSHC is continuing the successful and popular Junior academy, whilst a comprehensive club development program Running through the off seasons. The program covers junior player development, and coach Development whilst also working on developing our umpires both junior and senior.
Junior Player Development
The NSHC junior player development approach features:
- A focus on basic skill development,
- A talent identification pathway, and
- A Proposed Structured talent development opportunities in an “academy style” for the acceleration of promising junior players.
The strong connections between NSHC junior and senior sections provide a seamless transition between the sections for any parent looking to find a club with a family centered environment. The NSHC first grade and senior players play an active mentoring role in assisting our younger players.
Coach Development
NSHC is also proactively focusing on an coach development program designed to:
- Provide a pathway for coaches to gain exposure to up-to-date skills and concepts, and
- Sharing of ideas, approaches and practices in a coach-peer environment
