Our Perpetual Representative Awards

Each year we run our annual Representative Awards Event and recognise our team and individual successes in softball. As part of recognising our players and officials success and dedicaiton to our sport, we present four perpetual awards. 

These perpetual awards that are given out annually, celebrate batting, pitching, true spirit and outstanding team player. These awards are named after influential members of our North Shore softball family. These include:

• The Hugh Southwood True Spirit Award
• The Kerrie Porter Representative Player Award
• The Shirley Fogarty Memorial Representative Batting Award
• The Leddo Representative Pitching Award

The Hugh Southwood True Spirit Award

This award is given to a player or a member of the rep program who is giving of their time and experience with a positive and supportive attitude that truly reflects the North Shore spirit. Someone whose involvement in North Shore results in raising enthusiasm, building team spirit, increasing pride in North Shore and increasing skill levels but not necessarily results at State Championships. 

The Kerrie Porter Representative Player Award: 

This award is given to an outstanding team player who displayed total commitment to the team above self. Someone who led from the front on and off the field and displayed a consistently high level of performance at both training and games.

The Leddo Representative Pitching Award

Based on statistics, this award is given to the best pitcher for each representative season.

The Shirley Fogarty Memorial Representative Batting Award

 Based on statistics, this award is given to the best batter for each representative season.
