Event Waiver

Athletes may only enter in their own age groups, or for athletes aged 14 and above, may compete in OPEN events as well as their own group if of a suitable standard.

Nominations can still be made on the day before commencement of first event

Payments are to be made by cash, eftpos, or direct deposit (Normanton Athletics Club BSB - 034205 ACC # - 581303 ref: athlete’s name).

Athlete age is at 31^st December 2021.

ENTRY FEES

Entry fee is $10 for all ages.

REFUNDS

Refunds will be issued for entries provided they have notified the club before the commencement of competition. Some special circumstances will be taken into account after the commencement of competition has and will be handled on a case by case circumstance.

UNIFORMS

Club athletes will compete for their registered club and wear correct uniform or representative uniforms. Independent athletes are to wear a plain coloured top.

IMPORTANT NOTES – READ CAREFULLY

The 2024 Outback Pentathlon will be held on Saturday 14th September at the Athletic Track at the John Henry Memorial Oval, Philp Street, Normanton. First event Saturday commences at 10am.
ANQ age limitations and event specifications apply. Competition will be conducted according to ANQ and IAAF rules.
All athletes will compete for placing awards, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Male & Female with athletes 9 years and under also receiving participation medals as well.
Enclosed shoes must be worn for all throwing events.
Spiked shoes may be worn by athletes in age groups 10 years and above. Ages 13 years and above may wear spikes in all laned and unlaned events, jumps and javelin. Spike shoes must only be worn at the start of the event and removed before leaving the track or event area.
Lane allocation by random draw.
Entries close at 11:55pm Thursday 12^th September, 2024.
Event Duties. A carnival like this requires a lot of assistance to run each event. We hope that people watching will also help us at events to make them run smoothly.
Our Throws Pentathlon has a unique Australian twist to it. Unlike the regular event we will be dropping the Hammer Throw and Weight Throw for Keg throw and Thong Throw. All athletes will throw the same sized Keg and Thong and is open to all those 12 years and older.
