Junior Country Clubs Success
The club saw great success at the 2nd Annual NSW Junior Country Championship, held at Nowra Aquatic Centre on the 23-25 November 2017 .
After defeating Dragons in the semi final our boys had a re-match against Central Newcastle, a team they lost to on Friday afternoon 6-4. The boys showed great discipline to build a 6-1 lead, which carried them through to the end winning 7-4. Matt Wilson was named in the ALL STAR 7 after a great tournament! Well done to Don and the boys!
Charlotte and Scarlett also came home with gold medals after defeating Gosford in the mixed division finals! The girls not only performed well but learnt lots!
Our 14U boys had a great day at the pool. The boys faced Southern Highlands in their last round game going down 12-6. They then played Southern Highlands again in a playoff game, the boys showed a much improved performance to bounce back and win 11-5. The boys then played Gosford in the final playoff only giving up a lead late in the game to go down 8-5, finishing 6th in the 16U division. The 14U boys also won the THINK.ACT.PLAY award for their determination and sportsmanship! Great work boys!
Thanks to Water Polo NSW for a great tournament and providing our athletes the opportunity to play at such a great event! We look forward to returning to defend our title!
