Dear Members,

Nordek Water Polo Club wishes to inform its members that the club intends to send teams to the Australian Youth Water Polo Championships (AYC), which are set to be held in Brisbane, January 2019.

Nordek will attempt to send as many teams as possible in all divisions, however, if we aren’t able to send teams in certain age groups or genders, we will work with WPACT and the other ACT clubs to look at other options. Other options include, players entering the draft to be picked up by other Canberra or interstate clubs, forming composite teams with other Canberra or interstate clubs or sending Canberra Dolphins teams.

If the option is available, we will also look to send teams that are attending the AYC to NSW Club Championships in preperation for the AYC.

Nordek is excited by the prospect of sending teams to the newest form of the National Water Polo Championships and helping to continue the development of Water Polo in the ACT.

We have set up an “AYC 2019” tab on our website, where information will be posted related to our participation in the AYC. Please check-in here regularly to keep up to date with what is coming up.

We are currently seeking EOI for the following roles:

Tour Manager - Logistics around flights, accommodation, transport as well as “on deck” support to teams whilst in Brisbane.

Fundraising Officer - Seeks fundraising opportunities and works with Team Managers to find volunteers for these events.
