Here are some options on different ways that you can get involved with water polo
Canberra Water Polo Academy – Junior Dolphins program
This program is designed specifically for beginners to develop their skills and learn the rules prior to entering competition. The program is targeted for kids aged 7 – 13 and is an excellent program to develop athletes ready for the Nordek U12 or U14 local competition teams. The program is run by Canberra Water Polo Academy who have a proud history of developing junior water polo athletes in the ACT and have linked with clubs, including Nordek to provide a pathway for athletes to continue their water polo journey.
The only requirement is that your child can swim 25m Freestyle.

Nordek Junior Age Group Programs
Nordek junior age group teams (U12 – U20) compete in the local ACT summer and winter competitions as well as attending a range of tournaments within NSW and Nationally. Nordek juniors also feature strongly within ACT Representative teams.
The National Junior Age Group Program is run by former Olympic coaches and talented athletes within the club wanting to support our up-and-coming athletes.
Requirements: Your child ideally will be swimming with a local swim squad or able to swim the following distances:
U12 - 50m Freestyle/ U14 100m freestyle/U16+ 200m+ freestyle
Nordek also offers swim training for members of our U14 – Youth teams.

Seniors
Nordek also has senior teams competing in the ACT summer and winter competitions. This includes Division 2 and Premier League Teams for both Men’s and Women’s.
Senior athletes looking to be involved additional competitions can also register to train with the Kracken Men’s and Women’s squads. Both squads train at CISAC and enter competitions such as Australian Countries and Sydney Premier League.
Club Social Water Polo
Nordek also runs a Saturday morning session during summer season at two venues to allow club members across senior and junior programs to connect.
