About

Newtown City Hockey Club was formed in 1977, with our home base at King Lloyd Reserve, 80 Windsor Rd, Newtown.

The Club offers the opportunity for males and females to participate in hockey, in both competition and social formats. Members range in age from 3 to 70+.

The Club is the largest hockey club in the Geelong Hockey Association, with over 250 members. The club has teams entered in most divisions of the Geelong Hockey Association competition. New members are welcome at any time of the year, regardless of experience or skill level.

The Club offers Hookin2Hockey programs during the year, which provide the ideal opportunity for girls and boys aged 5 to 12 to learn the skills and strategies of the game of hockey.

Lloyd Reserve is used for younger age groups - U6, U8, U10 and Hookin2Hockey. Games for U8 and U10 are also available at Stead Park.  Training and games for U12, U14, U17 and senior teams are at Stead Park, John St, Corio.
