1pm gates open, 2pm first event. 3pm end.

Events

There are three events:
1. Time Trial

A one lap time trial with an emphasis on juniors beating their own personal best.

2. Skills event

A short event that develops cycling skills. The skills may be required in an upcoming event, or skills that appear to be lacking in a particular grade.

3. Handicap & Criterium

There will be a handicap every week, however if there enough riders we split the grades into two events;

Junior A - Criterium 10 minutes + 1 lap.

Junior B & C - Handicap where the slower riders get a head start and the faster riders are held back before being released for a chase.

Please note; we will only run the criterium if splitting the grades will leave a minium of four riders in Jnr A, and four riders in Jnr B & C combined.

Where to Next?

Experienced Junior A riders who are looking for a challange, may step up to Div 3 in the Neo Crits when they feel ready*

Div 4 is for our newer racers young or old. New racers can be spooked by people, including juniors, who ride too close to them.

Experienced racers are comfortable riding in close proximity to other riders. -It is no different with juniors.

The only juniors who may race in Div 4 are those with less than one season in their legs, as they themselves tend to leave a lot of space between riders due to their own inexperience.
