NCYC are pleased to present a new program of member information sessions

. . . to be held at the Club on Monday nights, where members can come together in a casual & social environment and be involved in talks & discussions on a wide variety of marine topics.

Whether you’re a cruiser or racer, inshore or offshore, dinghy or yachtie, around the buoys or passage sailor, boat owner, skipper or crew or maybe you’re a bit of all of those – we’re aiming to present topics that will interest you!

 

Weather on the Water

International Race Officer, Denis Thompson will lead you through a discussion on local and coastal weather.  Denis has extensive experience in monitoring and analysing forecasts, computer models and weather systems both onshore & offshore in order to successfully run around-the-buoys and passage races.

This will be a great session for those keen to learn more about weather and its impact on us as sailors & cruisers.  A real interactive session for those who have recently completed the ORCV Weather for Sailors course.  It will allow for lots of questions and discussion to ensure everyone understands the concepts.
