Women's Try Sailing

We are pleased to welcome participants to our Women’s Try Sailing Session on Friday morning.  A great opportunity to get a taste of sailing and get hooked! 

The session time is 9:00am to 11:30am, which includes our Bubbles & Nibbles celebration in the clubhouse after sailing.

Training will be conducted on the Club's fleet of Force 24 keelboats, which carry an Instructor and up to four course participants. The boats will be sailed inshore on the waters of Newcastle Harbour.  

The registration fee for this session is $55.

Our Women's Try Sailing sessions cater for ALL skill levels - absolute beginners are our speciality!  We aim to group sailors of like ability & experience together so you will enjoy the challenge, to develop and progress your skills.

If you enjoy the session and are keen for more, we'd love to see you on one of our Women's Sailing 4-week courses.  We have many women coming back course after course in order to continue to develop their skills and confidence.

Course Numbers

The NCYC Sailing Academy abides by the Australian Sailing instructor to student ratios, hence places are strictly limited. We regularly sell out our Women's Sailing sessions & courses, so to avoid disappointment, we recommend registering early.

You don't have an Australian Sailing Number? 

Simply start your registration by clicking the "SIGN UP" button.  You will automatically become a 'training member' of NCYC as part of your registration.  You do not need a Sail Pass.
