FAMILY SAILING ADVENTURES

Come sailing with us and enjoy some family time doing something fun!

We are pleased to welcome participants onboard for a Family Sailing Adventure.  

SESSION TIME:  5:30pm to 7:30pm

SESSION DAY:  Friday 18th October 2024

SESSION PRICE:  $200 per boat, which includes a boat, an instructor and a bowl of chips in the NCYC Clubhouse afterwards!

We cater for complete beginners, so we’ll help you all to develop your sailing skills & knowledge in a fun, relaxed environment. 

Sailing will be conducted on the Club's fleet of Force 24 keelboats, on the inshore waters of Newcastle Harbour. 

The boats carry a fully qualified Instructor and up to four course participants, at least one of which must be an adult (18years+). The Minimum age is 7 years. Please see our FAQs if you have more family members.

A correctly fitting personal flotational device (PFD) or lifejacket will be supplied for all participants when you meet your instructor at the top of F-arm of our marina.

Participant Details

We need to record all participants who are going on-water, so please provide names and dates of birth of all family members.  The principal registrant (sailor 1) signs the waiver and agrees to the terms & conditions on behalf of all family members.

Course Numbers

The NCYC Sailing Academy abides by the Australian Sailing instructor to student ratios, hence places are strictly limited. To avoid disappointment, we recommend registering early.

You can book an individual session date, or plan ahead and make sailing a regular family activity by booking multiple dates that fit in with your family schedule!

Member Discounts

This is the perfect 'taster' for anyone who wants to discover sailing for the first time. This is the perfect introduction and can be the ideal way for you to begin your sailing journey, without having to commit to a full training course.
