Reflections OutThere Sailing Program
OutThere Sailing is the ideal way to have fun and get active on the water – spend your days outdoors in the fresh air learning new skills & participating in challenging activities!
We are pleased to welcome participants to our fun and active Reflections OutThere Sailing Program for the second week of the January School Holidays, 2025. This program will include FOUR sessions, conducted from Tuesday to Friday on the dates listed above.
All session times are 9:00am to 3:00pm
Sailing will be conducted on the Club's fleet of Force 24 keelboats, which carry an Instructor and up to four course participants. We'll be introducing the option to go sailing on a Pacer dinghy to further improve sailing skills & experience. The boats will be sailed inshore on the waters of Newcastle Harbour.
The Reflections OutThere Sailing program, for sailors aged 11 to 17 years, allows both complete novices to learn to sail and provide continued development & enjoyment to those who have sailed with us before.
On top of the sailing activities, there are also fun powerboat and marine experiences along the way. We will also investigate some cool adventure type stuff like inshore navigation, passage planning, safe anchoring & general seamanship skills – like how to rescue a man-overboard.
A big part of the Reflections OutThere Sailing Program is the social element of simply enjoying time spent with peers and doing some thing fun. OutThere Sailing will keep friends together and keep you learning together. So a person who has sailed before can sail together with a mate who might be completely new to the activity!
