Australian Sailing Safety Boat Operators Course

This course provides the skills needed to support water based activities at clubs, schools and outdoor recreation centres. Over 12 hours you’ll learn about race course design, practice on-water rescue of dinghies and multihulls, and even get an awareness of techniques to support kite surfers.

Course Prerequisites

Water confident. The skills and knowledge gained in Powerboat Handling or equivalent power boating experience.

Who should do this course?

This course is designed for participants who wish to support their Sailing Club as a support boat for either racing or learn to sail courses. This course is also a prerequisite for becoming a Sailing Coach.

Course Outcome

You will gain your Safety Boat Operator completion certificate.
