The Northern Beaches Water Polo Academy in conjunction with SNB Breakers Water Polo Club will be conducting a Junior Competition for boys and girls, born 03 & 04 age group, on Sunday afternoons at Pymble Ladies College from 3pm to 5pm, commencing 7 May, 2017 through to 2 July, 2017. However, no games will be scheduled on 11 June, 2017 due to the long weekend.
Competition Conditions
This is a new concept we are trying, so as to keep as many children involved in playing this fantastic game, of Water Polo. Please support the competition and spread the word to friends, family, colleagues etc....
- We need a minimum of 4 boys teams (36/40 players) and 4 girls teams (36/40 players). In the event that minimum numbers are not reached we will review the competition.
- This will be a social development competition, all players of all levels of this age group are welcome.
- Games will be played in half of the 50m pool... a proper size water polo pool for this age group.
- A size 4 water polo ball will be used
- Children must be able to swim competently and independently
- Players will be rotated from this group to play Metro Comp games - not compulsory but encouraged for development. That means sometimes you will play two games each week, Metro plus this competition, except if there is a time conflict.
- Training sessions - to be confirmed at a later time.
- Players selected for Metro Comp games and Training sessions will be levied an additional fee
- Team entries - You can enter your own team. If you are not part of a team please complete an individual entry. We will endeavour to make all teams of an even standard.
- Each team must have a minimum of 10 players, maximum of 12 players registered. A minimum of 6 players are required to start the game, 5 field players and 1 GK.
- Each team must appoint a Team Manager who will take responsibility for the team entry and the teams participation in accordance with the Rules of the Competition, SNB Breakers Code of Behaviour and Pymble Ladies College admission guidelines. It is preferred the Team Manager be an adult parent of a child in the team.
- Northern Beaches Water Polo Academy/SNB Breakers will supply a Coach each week for each team.
All players must be registered with the NORTHERN BEACHES WATER POLO ACADEMY, any player not registered or who has fees outstanding from previous events will NOT be allowed to participate until the registration and payment has been fully processed.
The fee to enter this event is - $120 per player which includes entry into the Pymble Aquatic facility. Parent/Spectator fee is a gold coin donation.
To Register:-
STEP 1 - All NEW players/participants (those who have not participated in a water polo program with the Northern Beaches Water Polo Academy, previously) are required to register as a Junior Member of the Northern Beaches Water Polo Academy and pay the $8 registration/membership fee.

Click on the "REGISTRATION" tab and complete the details. You will be emailed a username and password (please check spam emails) to login to register for the event. Please note, that if you pay the $8 fee by credit card you can proceed to the next step of registering for the EVENT.. If you pay the $8 fee by direct deposit, this fee is required to be reconciled on my end before you can proceed to registering for the EVENT.
STEP 2 - Registering for the EVENT, Click on the EVENTS tab on the Northern Beaches Water Polo Academy home page... and complete the details.
Please confirm the Team Name you wish to register under. Please also complete the Team Members, a list of players who will be registering in your team. If you are not part of a team please tick the Individual Entry box and you will be placed in a team, where possible.
Registrations will close for this EVENT on Sunday 30th April, 2017... Registrations after this date will only be accepted if there are spots available and will incur an extra $20 fee per player.
THE "NO PAY, NO PLAY" RULE…. WILL BE ENFORCED.
This "development" competition has been designed to teach the basic skills required for water polo junior development with the emphasis on “FUN and PARTICIPATION” and the development of water confidence and water skills.
CHILDREN MUST BE SUPERVISED BY THEIR PARENT AT ALL TIMES
WATERPOLO IS A GREAT WAY TO KEEP FIT AND MAKE NEW FRIENDS
Children must be able to swim competently and unassisted
