Before reading the Event detail, it is important that the "Event Waiver" is read and understood at the time of registering for the event.
Our Term 3, 2020 Water Polo program will commence on Sunday 26th July, 2020 (this Sunday) and run through to Sunday 27th September 2020 - 10 weeks/sessions in total. The cost = $150 per player.
Due to the Covid-19 shutdown in Term 2, we have lost time in preparing this age group for up coming Representative selections for the Sydney Metro Competition and Nationals 2020/2021... This will be a fabulous fun-filled 10 weeks of learning.
The sessions each week will comprise the following:-
- Start with a 10 minute land warm-up
- 5/10 minute water warm up
- 30 minutes in the water, completing specific skill training, ie egg beater, passing, shooting, counter attack etc...
- Finishing off with a group game scenario
We are so very lucky to have our Ex Olympian Coaches, Jemma & Dean Semmens, come and share their knowledge and experience.
Current Aussie Stinger, Bronte Halligan, will also pop in when her schedule allows to share her passion and motivation (amazing young lady) and let's not forget our current talent also assisting, Tasma Woolley (U20's National Squad Member) Alex Brown & Charley Porter (U18's State Team Program), together with our regular support Conor & Grace.
Also joining the team from time to time will be one of the Australian U16 National Coaches, Scott Schweickle.
Participating in these sessions is part of the pathway to being selected in the SNB Breakers Representative teams for Metro, State and Nationals. Player development is continually assessed by our Coaches so as to provide them with best opportunity to be the best player they can be.
Whilst sessions will start off with boys and girls separately, it is anticipated that groups will change around the 5 week mark.
Swimming is a very important part of being a sucessfull Water Polo player. Any player wishing to go to the next level, it is highly recommended that you join Swim squad training once or twice a week.
Each session has limited numbers, so be quick to book.
