'Our experienced Coaches do make it lots of fun to learn Water Polo'

Our Term 2, 2023 Water Polo Skills/Drills Training program will commence on Sunday 30th April and run through to Sunday 2nd July, 2023.  (Note - No sessions on 7th May - pool unavailable and 11th June - long weekend) - 8 weeks in total.  The cost is $150.00 per player for the term.  Players are to pay entry into the Warringah Aquatic Centre each week of attendance.

The sessions will be run in different age groups and genders....

  • Born 2009/Born 2010/Born 2011- Boys & Girls - 6pm to 7pm
  • Born 2011 (new)/Born 2012 who feel comfortable in deep water - Boys & Girls - 5pm to 6pm

In Term 2 our sessions do focus on skills development such as counter attack, defending with our Coaches correcting techniques for body positioning, shooting, passing etc... The sessions comprises of out of water ball skills and land warm up, followed by in the pool skills session, then a game if time allows, between the groups.

Boys and Girls groups can/will be separate...

Player development is continually assessed by our Coaches so as to provide them with best opportunity to be the best player they can be.  

IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT PLAYERS ARE REGISTERED IN THEIR CORRECT AGE GROUPS.  WE DO HAVE LIMITED PLACES AVAILABLE IN EACH AGE GROUP... SO REGISTER EARLY, SO AS NOT TO MISS OUT.

Our experienced Coaches are being supported by our Junior Representative boys and girls.  We are so lucky to have them to share their knowledge and experience.

Swimming is a very important part of being a successfull Water Polo player.  Any player wishing to go to the next level for water polo , we highly recommended that you join Swim squad training once or twice a week.

If you are new player to the Northern Beaches Water Polo Academy, please complete the NEW MEMBER registration.

All players must be registered with the NORTHERN BEACHES WATER POLO ACADEMY - THE WATER POLO SCHOOL prior to registering for any EVENTS.  Any player not registered or who has fees outstanding from previous events will NOT be allowed to participate until the registration and payment has been fully processed.

STEP 1

  • All NEW players are required to register as a New Member 2022-2023 season with the Northern Beaches Water Polo Academy - The Water Polo School or their School (St Augustines, St Lukes and Pittwater House) 
  • Click on the Registration link above:-
    • If you are a new player and never registered with the Northern Beaches Water Polo Academy last season, click on  NEW MEMBER
    • If you are a player who has participated in one of our sessions previously, click on RETURNING MEMBER
  • This step needs to be completed before you can move to Step 2.

STEP 2

  • Register for the EVENT you wish to attend… Please choose carefully. Payment for the Event is required during this process, so please have your Credit/Debit card handy.

THE "NO PAY, NO PLAY" RULE…. WILL BE ENFORCED.

This "development" competition has been designed to teach the basic skills required for water polo junior development with the emphasis on “FUN and PARTICIPATION” and the development of water confidence and water skills.

CHILDREN MUST BE SUPERVISED BY THEIR PARENTS AT ALL TIMES

WATERPOLO IS A GREAT WAY TO KEEP FIT AND MAKE NEW FRIENDS

Children must be able to swim competently and unassisted

The Event Fee for the competition does not include pool entry into the Warringah Aquatic Centre

Late registrations will only be accepted if there are spots available and will incur an extra $25 fee
