'Our experienced Coaches do make it lots of fun to learn Water Polo'

Our Term 2, 2022 Water Polo Skills/Drills Training program will commence on Sunday 1st May 2022 and run through to Sunday 26 June 2022.  (Note - NO sessions on 12th June - due to it being a long weekend)

Participating in these sessions is part of the pathway to being selected in the SNB Breakers Representative teams for Metro, State and Nationals.  Player development is continually assessed by our Coaches so as to provide them with best opportunity to be the best player they can be.  

The Winter Metro competition is scheduled to commence on 19th June 2022 and run through to the 28th August 2022...  Games are played on Sunday's and an additional training session will be conducted during the week for players who are selected.   SNB Breakers will be entering team in tthe following age groups

  • U12 Boys and Girls - Born 2011/2012 (New players Born 2010 may be considered)
  • U14 Boys and Girls - Born 2009/2010 (New players Born 2008 may be considered)
  • U16 Boys and Girls - Born 2008/2007
  • U18 Boys and Girls - Born 2005/2006

The U12's group will be selected from these sessions.  The U14 age group are encourage to attend these sessions in preparation for formal selections, particularly new players to the sport, which will take place in late May/early June. 

IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT PLAYERS ARE REGISTERED IN THEIR CORRECT AGE GROUPS.  WE DO HAVE LIMITED PLACES AVAILABLE IN EACH AGE GROUP... SO REGISTER EARLY, SO AS NOT TO MISS OUT.

In Term 2 the focus is on Skill, Drills and Technique development and each session will comprise of, an out of water ball skills and land warm up, followed by in the pool skills session, then a game. 

Our experienced Coaches and are being supported by our Junior Representative boys and girls.  We are so lucky to have them to share their knowledge and experience.

Swimming is a very important part of being a successfull Water Polo player.  Any player wishing to go to the next level, it is highly recommended that you join Swim squad training once or twice a week.

To Register:-

STEP 1  -  All NEW players/participants (those who have not participated in a water polo program with the Northern Beaches Water Polo Academy, previously) are required to register as a Junior Member of the Northern Beaches Water Polo Academy.

Click on the "REGISTRATION" tab and complete the details.  You will be emailed a username and password (please check spam emails) to login to register for the event. 

STEP 2  -  Registering for the EVENT, Click on the EVENTS tab on the Northern Beaches Water Polo Academy home page... and complete the details.

Late registrations will only be accepted if there are spots available and will incur an extra $25 fee.

WATER POLO IS A GREAT WAY TO KEEP FIT AND MAKE NEW FRIENDS

Children must be able to swim competently and unassisted

It is important to note that these session are for the development of Water Polo skills and should not replace regular swimming lessons.  All players should continued with their swimming squad programs
