Heatwave conditions

We should all be conscious of maintaining our hydration - the statement has been made that, if you only drink when you are thirsty, you will not be properly hydrated when the weather is extreme.

The ACA Extreme Weather states that , when the temperature reaches 35degrees, a tournament manager should consider stopping play. As we get older, we are more affected by very high temperatures and need to make the decision not to go out in the sun when temperatures are high - particularly if the humidity is also high.  A temperature of 30 when humidity is close to 100% is almost unbearable.
