Bridport challenge accepted.

On Saturday 24th April, club runners set out for our annual invasion of the seaside town of Bridport.  Well, not really an invasion as a few of us were elsewhere and our numbers were down 😊.  Jonathon Death accepted and won the challenge in the grueling 11km around the Bridport walking track and wildflower reserve.  Ben Adams was a strong second with Andrew Seen only 1 second behind in 3rd.  The 4km race was won by Annabelle Cook in fine form with Rebecca Riedl second and Roger Williams third.  In the 2km event it was Rohan Crawford first with Anne Green equal second with Kade Barwick after a small adjustment of Kade’s handicap.

Fastest: In the long race David Hodson and Jen Tait were fastest.  In the middle distance Annabelle Cook and Thomas Death were speediest while in the short distance race Anne Green and Kade Barwick were fastest.

Personal bests from the same event in 2020: Ben Adams, Andrew Seen, Ruby Williams, Gerard Little and Katrina Williams.

A special thanks to Eric Welsh this week who was as usual his unflappable self in charge of the timing.  We love your stuff Eric!
