Sunshine at Trevallyn Reserve favourable for the Shaw family
Sisters Eva and Bella Shaw were winners and grinners at our Trevallyn Reserve event held in lovely sunshine on the 25th July. Eva was first over the line in our 1.5km event smashing her km rate for this event from last year to finish well ahead of second place getter Rohan Crawford. The 3km event followed with Bella Shaw holding off Ben Giasli by 20 seconds. First over the line in the tough and technically challenging but beautiful 6km course was Tom Wickham who unfortunately is ineligible as a new runner with the club. Sandy Wood is therefore surprise winner this week. THANK YOU to our volunteers, special mention to Eric Welsh, Deb McKenzie, Brenda Giles and Tim Shaw.

Fastest: Division 1 fastest were Sandy Wood and Vicky Gunn. Division 2 Lachlan Preece and Sophie Marshall and Division 3 fastest were Georgia Freeman and Riley Howard.
Personal Bests: beat your time from the same venue and division from last season. Division 3 congratulations to Savannah McKenzie, Flynn Preece, Thomas Davie, Matilda Preece and Hunter Fitzallen. Congratulations to Bonnie Talbot and Luke McKenzie for their times in the 3km and in Division 1, congratulations to Denis Giasli and Montana McKenzie. Note that Ben Adams and Rebecca Riedl had the same KM rage as last year and Rebecca also managed the same time to the second…..

As we have a shortened season, the Consistency Competition will be very tight, missing a single event may well be the difference between being on the podium at the end of the year or not.
