Week 10 - Harveydale

Published Mon 28 Sep 2020

Tait takes the win at Harveydale.

The late change to the beautiful Harveydale course proved fruitful for Jen Tait who has been a strong runner all season with lots of course PB’s.  Her win at this event is a fitting reward.  Coming in second was another well deserving athlete in Alex Seen who was hoping to sneak in his first win for the season. Barbara Clayton was third.  In the Division 2 event Lily Button gained her second win of the season followed by Simeon McKee and Luke McKenzie while in the Division 3 2km event Matilda Preece recorded a massive PB to finish over a minute ahead of second place getter Ben Giasli with Matilda’s mum Catherine third.

Fastest: In division 1, fastest runners were Jennifer Tait and Matthew Zegveld who enjoyed the trail situation, finding his trail running legs.  Fastest in the 4km event was Lachlan Preece and Blaise Fitzallen, while in the 2km event Annabelle Cook and Xavier Davie were fastest.

Personal bests from the same event in 2019: Division 1, Jennifer Tait, Barbara Clayton, Craig Barron, Montana McKenzie, and  Tony Walsh.  Division 2 PB’s belonged to Luke McKenzie and Blaise Fitzallen, and in Division 3 it was Matilda Preece, Catherine Preece, Annabelle Cook, Xavier Davie, Dale Kean, Flynn Preece Eliza Davie, Aaron Crawford, Rohan Crawford and Savannah McKenzie who were faster than in last years’ event.

A special thank you to all our volunteers.  Without who, we would not have a club… so THANK YOU!
