New Member Hodson shows up our returning runners with a great win for our first race of the season.
Our first run of the season was held on the flat and fast course at Heritage Forest on Saturday 10th April. Division 1 was a 5km run with David Hodson taking line honors with Alex seen only 2 seconds behind. Ben Adams was 3rd. In the division 2 3km event, Ben Giasli was first over the line with Luke McKenzie second and Annabelle Cook third. For our 1.5km event, Riley Howard was first with Georgia Freeman second and Stella Freeman third .
Fastest: In the 5km race, fastest runners were Jennifer Tait and David Hodson. In the 3km race, Ben Giasli and Annabelle Cooke, and in the 1.5km event it was Riley Howard and Georgia Freeman.
Awarded 20 extra consistency points for beating their own best km rate from last season: Jonathon Death, Rebecca Riedl, Tony Walsh, Alex Seen, Rodney Bussey, Lillian Giles, Mel Bussey, Gerard Little, Riley Howard, Stella Freeman.
