MWSA is managed entirely by volunteers so we rely on clubs to help with allocated tasks. The allocations are even over the season and we ask for everyone’s support and help.
Grounds Set Up & Pack Up
There is a morning & afternoon roster to set up and pack up the grounds each week.
Instructions on grounds set up and pack up can be found here: Grounds Duty - Manly Warringah Softball Association - revolutioniseSPORT
Grounds duty allocations c an be found at the end of each week’s draw and roster: Draw & Roster - Manly Warringah Softball Association - revolutioniseSPORT
Shelters
Shelter are provided for teams on diamonds 5 to 8. The first team to play on the diamond is to pick the shelter up from outside the Rueb Hudson canteen and erect it.
Please make sure the tent is pegged. It may not be windy when you put it up however the shade will be up all day and conditions change.
Please also check the draw as you may be last game on that diamond. The last team to use the diamond is to pack the shelter up and return it to the Rueb Hudson canteen.
Diamond Pack Up
If you are the last team to play on a diamond, please pack it up. Some diamonds may only be used for one ot two timeslots on a day so please check the draw.
Please put the bases and the benches in the middle of the diamond neatly piled.
Umpiring
All teams are allocated umpiring duty during the season (approx. every second game). Further details about umpiring at MWSA can be found here (duties, paying for a plate umpire and our Blues mentoring program): Umpiring - Manly Warringah Softball Association - revolutioniseSPORT
Working Bees
Throughout the season, MWSA runs working bees to do specific jobs on our grounds and facilities. Clubs will be notified well in advance asking for volunteers – many hands make light work!
