Grand Final Games & Wet Weather Protocols

Any changes to grand final games scheduled for tomorrow will be notified ASAP in this News section of our website on MWSA SM.

We’ve been extremely lucky with the weather all season with only one wash out so far. Here are a few points to clarify what will happen if we get rain at Abbott Road tomorrow:

1. We will do all we can to play tomorrow
2. We will decide whether a game will proceed on a time slot by time slot basis - a timeslot may be cancelled and later ones could play (& visa versa)
3. We will only play on Sunday if all games get washed out on Saturday
4. If a game is washed out the highest placed team in the preliminary rounds wins – not first into the grand final

Finally, grounds duty tomorrow is for all clubs. If it rains, we may need helpers on the super soaker throughout the day.
