Tasmania Circumnavigation

Travel to a South-Pacific island paradise. (ie Tasmania).

Our cruise starts at Beauty Point (mouth of the Tamar river north of Launceston) on 1st Feb 2022, so you’ll probably leave Brisbane mid-late January and be back mid-March. It’s a 900 mile journey each way between Brisbane and Beauty Point, and the circumnavigation of about 700 NM will be a slow and leisurely anti-clockwise circumnavigation with most nights spent in marinas or anchorages. Only one or two overnight passages needed.  Up to 7 days in key locations to allow exploration and to give flexibility in weather windows. A Tamar Valley winery tour organised by our hosts the Tamar Yacht Club, a cruise up the Gordon River to near the junction with the Franklin River, exploration of Port Davey, a tour of Hobart & Mt Wellington and a tour of convict ruins at Port Arthur are just some of the highlights planned in what will be an exceptional trip run in conjunction with the RQYS sail cruise group.
