After several years of relative dormancy we are getting our administrative house in order.  We are therefore holding a Special General Meeting online at 8pm on the 9th December.  The reasons for the meeting are:

• To formally ratify the MCAV committee

  • The committee has been formed under the current rules which allow for vacancies to be filled without a member vote, however, for transparency we would like the committee to be formally appointed by the membership.

• To adopt the Victorian Consumer Affairs Model Rules for associations

  • Our existing association rules have not been updated since 1986 and are therefore somewhat out of date!  Adopting the Model Rules would bring us in line with current regulations and also simplify the process of updating the rules in the future

We need a quorum of 10 voting members.  To be eligible to vote you need to be a Senior Member who has paid their membership fees.  Please see information below on memberships.
